As shown in this video, Nesti Dante produces its soaps by making noodles that use the premium “entire” oils (not …fatty acids ). These are the same type of oils used to produce pasta, cookies, chocolate, etc. After boiling these raw materials for four days, a perfect soap base, free from impurities is achieved. The base then rests for 24 hours so that the glycerin sinks and is then eliminated. High concentrations of glycerin clog the pores by not allowing the skin to breathe. Nesti Dante soaps use just the “heart” of the cauldron.

For more than 75 years Nesti Dante has been crafting luxurious soaps using the traditional Italian method of saponification.
Saponification, or the creation of soap, using the traditional method of cooking in a boiler is much more expensive and long (four days of boiling!) compared to the common continuous method. This technique offers incomparable qualitative advantages such as the use of whole vegetable oils, greater attention and selection of the individual raw materials, so noble that they are often used in the food industry. Expert Master Soap Makers control the many processing phases: saponification, washing (yes, we wash the soap!!), liquidation, decantation and extraction from special vacuum tanks.
